My current mobile provider doesn’t have roaming for where we need it to roam when we are abroad later this year. Could use resort wifi however not helpful if out and about and need to make a call etc.

Keep seeing e-sim adverts. Are they worthwhile? Or is there an alternative?

Thank you.

DD is in Thailand as we speak. She got one with lebara. It works now. Took a day or so to set up. I had to send instructions etc.

I have used Jetpac twice now. Last year in New Zealand and earlier this year for China. The eSim in China was particularly useful because it meant we did not need to use a VPN to access anything like Google, WhatsApp or Facebook.

I have found Jetpac quite reasonably priced. For example, in China 30Gb over 30 days was £25 I think. Easy to install - there is an app. Also it activated automatically when you get to your destination

Definitely worth it. I was in the US for a few weeks recently and it cost £30 for unlimited roaming. Worth every penny. I used Holafly.
