You need to check of there are any restrictions on beach access for dogs. Many ban dogs seasonally. The areas are very different though.

There are a LOT of sheep on Romney Marsh..

Romney Marsh but only because I can’t imagine enjoying a stay in Bognor Regis at all.
would you prefer seaside town or wilder country place? Or would you plan to stay in a town new Romney Marsh? Rye is lovely.

we did decide on bognor but will save Romney Marsh for next time, i wanted to try Romney Marsh as i have never been but DH was less keen.
At least in bognor we can go to Arundel/Chichester

We went to Bognor with our dog. We spent a lot of time at the local park. We struggled to find dog friendly beaches.

Camber sands has a dog section. Rye is also a lovely town. I have been there loads.
