Ideas for 40th birthday

Hi, I asked before and got some fab ideas for Feb holidays - now I’m hoping people can give me some more fab ideas for DPs 40th birthday this December. DD is being looked after and I’m restricted by school holidays (teacher) so looking for either October half term (2nd week) or Dec 21-23. Does anyone have any recommendations? Happy to do either abroad or UK but swaying towards abroad. 3-4 nights if October.

October is a a great time for Seville, and 3-4 nights would be perfect there.

What does your DP like? E.g. mine would hate a city break to Seville but would love a trip to see Northern Lights. October should be perfect time for that.

I went to Rome for mine, because I've always wanted to go.

Some great suggestions from others already, wouldn't turn my nose up at any of those!! I'll also add a personal preference for San Sebastien or Lisbon for my next big bday. Went to Copenhagen (to eat at Noma) and Lake Como for other significant birthdays and both were excellent.
