Yellow Fever

Hi , has anyone over 60 had a yellow fever jab ? We visiting Brazil this year visiting Iguazu Falls in June , mozzies are apparently there in the forest but low
I’m just wondering that if you had the jab did you experience bad side effects as apparently the older you are the worse it is , I understand that everyone is different

I’ve just had yellow fever at our local pharmacy, but I will say the warnings seemed quite dire. I’m very active mid 50’s and it gave me pause. Upshot was I had it (I want to go to Rwanda soon too) as we are off to Brazil and the area for recommended is quite broad.

No impact at all, not even a sore arm, but it felt a bit like roulette!

I agree that it does sound like Russian roulette , I’m glad to hear that you didn’t have any side effects .
