Has anyone stayed at The Hoxton hotel and if so what did you think of it?

We booked to go there ages ago so it's paid for (v cheap deal though) but the rooms look small on their site and as we don't get away without the children often I'm wondering whether to look for somewhere else with bigger rooms...tripadvisor says good things but I'd appreciate any first hand experience. TIA.

DH says - it's great, very cool, good restaurants nearby. Rooms on courtyard side can be noisy.

Thanks, how small are the rooms hassled?

I want quiet elegance, booked this because of £1 deal so got 2 nights for £129 but now am wistfully thinking oh, oh, I want to LOLL in an enormous bed and theirs are only queen sized.

My db and sil stayed there last year, they loved it, it is very glam and good value for money. The bar was heaving and pretty good fun when I went to meet up with them there.

Rooms are not huge but v comfy and well designed.

Again, from DH - rooms are small, but beds are a good size and he didn't see that as a problem - was bowled over by the general coolness and free Pret breakfasts.

Thank you both. I'm not sure what to do, really I want a king sized bed, an enormous room, great room service, etc etc. And not a heaving bar, I want calm and peace. It sounds like it might not be what I'm looking for.
