Rome trip with 1 year old

We are going to a place just outside of Rome for a few days for my brothers wedding and wanted to make a trip of it.

Looking for recommendations for any places around Rome with a 1 year old in July.

I'm not sure that would be fun. It's hot and cobbled.

Even the Romans dont stay in Rome in July. Can you get to the coast instead?
