Half Term in Blackpool on Ebay

bubblerock · 25/01/2005 19:41

Hi everyone, I mentioned on here a little while ago that I would be putting Half Term breaks on Ebay. I've just put the first one on but have actually left it open for all of Feb incase Half Term dates differ.
My Ebay name is blackpool25 and the item number is 6507859224

Feel free to get in touch if you have any specific enquiries! Thanks

Yorkiegirl - no I'm a regular - posting under a different name because I wanted anonyminity on a Special Needs thread.

Forgot to change my name for the PJ thread and then saw this one at the same time and guess I got carried away with my irritation from that (which I genuinely do believe is dodgy) .

Sorry - really didn't mean to cause offence.

bubblerock · 31/01/2005 10:18

Hi all, I posted on this Topic as I thought it was relevent to 'Travel' and more people would find it of interest, that's the only reason, nothing sinister I'm afraid. I didn't think anyone would take offence to this and question what amount of 'subs' I had paid.
I guess if I'd put it on the business ads then I wouldn't have had this problem

The Pleasure Beach are doing 'supersaver weekends' with wristbands for only 10.00 that's a really good deal, thought I'd put the dates on here incase anyone wanted a day out:

5th/6th, 12th/13th, 19th/20th March

Also 21st - 24th March

Gates open at 12 Noon

hiya bubblerock,
are the pleasurebeach doing any deal during the week of half term?

yorkiegirl are you going to br's b+b during half term week?

my dd is so excited she has told everyone in school her plans for the holiday, reciting it like the rhyme on Dora the Explorer.....
Valentine party(at after-school club last night)
Train(to Nanny's house)
Blackpool...yippee
now i must continue my jobs or i'll never be ready

bubblerock · 13/02/2005 20:21

Hi Chatee, not long to wait now! Quite windy at the moment, but went for a walk down to the front earlier and it has tired the kids (and me) out! I just checked the Pleasure Beach site and it says 'opens Feb 19th' which seems a bit strange as it's half term now, I'll find out before you get here though. There's a nice website with all the attractions on it that your DD might like to look at, it's got some good pictures of the zoo - www.blackpool-holidays.com

We're taking DS into the tower on Sat he hasn't been yet so he can't wait - we're still officially tourists!

We actually had snow this morning! So wrap up warm and look forward to seeing you Tuesday xx

bubblerock · 14/02/2005 12:10

Good Morning, brilliant sunshine today, fingers crossed it will stay nice for you! Have a safe journey and we'll see you tomorrow xx

Hi Yorkie, haven't heard from Esbee but i've pencilled you in for the family rooms at easter so pop a deposit in the post and they'll be confirmed.

Ps - Does anyone want a cat - seriously, we have 2, Sheridan (4, Big black & white softie - outdoor cat) & Stella (7, pretty small tabby indoor lap cat), one's mine and one's my Mums but they don't get on now that they live together and it's not ideal with the business, we don't allow them in the Hotel. Love them both to bits but it's not fair on them. There you go, book a break in Blackpool and get a free cat LOL!!

Chatee - Have you had a good time? Review of Blackpool and the B&B please!

bubblerock · 21/02/2005 19:38

Chatee - where are you?? Hope Blackpool didn't tire you out too much, can you apologise to S for how long it's taking the Pj's to get to her - it's been hectic here with the Stepkids visiting!

It was really great having you all stay and I hope everything was ok.

xx

ps - Yorkie/Essbee, I'm starting to get enquiries for Easter so I need those deposits if you still want the family rooms! Cheers

Good Morning - deposit arrived this morning thanks Yorkie/Essbee!

Have just put a voucher for a 1 night stay for two on Ebay any date in 2005, starting at a pound with no reserve - I usually sell them for 40.00 so this could be a bargain if any of you are lucky enough to get away without the kids for a night!

Will try to put link but the item number is 6513865933

chatee · 23/02/2005 12:09

hiya all,
well we had a fab time in blackpool, all the children had a whale of a time and really enjoyed themselves.bubblerock and her family are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our stay at their b+b.
dd has gone to school this morning with a mini 4 page book that we have made together the last couple of nights to show her class during show and tell today.
the children played in the penny arcadesnaughty mummies we were out until 9.30pm but they kept winning more pennies on their last go so last goes kept going on for ages(iykwim)
we went in blackpool tower(£40 for a family of 5) but well worth the money we were in there from 11am until 5.45pm and the day consisted of: going up the tower, the dinosaur ride, play in a play area, watching ballroom dancing(shame the bbc were not there!)and the fabulous circus show. we were right on the front seats and the children were all engrossed even my baby ds who is going to be 1 on saturday!ps:i even breast fed him sat on the front row.......but i think that's for another thread
the following day we had to drag my dd out of her ever so comfy bed(she was sleeping on the top bunk and thought it was brill)and we went out for a walk along the prom, on the beach and had a donkey ride.....the highlight for all the children being when the donkey that my dd was riding stopped and had a wee!!!!we then went on a double decker bus(and we even managed to get dd up the stairs as the bus driver was so patient and nice) and travelled to Fleetwood, had lunch-fish and chips but the fish was gorgeous and so much cheaper than at home and travelled back to Blackpool on a tram with 4 very happy but tired children...
sorry it has taken me so long to post but am trying to catch up with washing etc and plan a birthday party for my little man on Saturday so i am getting mn withdrawal....
lots of love to all who asked about our trip and yes we are going to go to bubblerocks b+b again......to see the illuminations......any one fancy a meet up?????
