don't usually even take a decent pair of shoes these days...only flat mules etc.i'm going with quite a big crowd this time with kids aswell. i'm quite a large person and can't wear the general "long shorts"cos i'm such a funny shape so i've just bought long linen skirts from Evans and t shirts.am i gonna look a complete scruff bag? (i do accessorize though!)

well i've noticed that in most hotels these days, people don't really get that dressed up do they? As i said, I can't wear any type of trousers...not even cropped ones as i'm very short and fat and i end up looking like a clown.this is why i've bought linen skirts instead.

i think you are right, no one dresses up these days. some accessories are always nice. i would just take smart casual.

CountessDracula · 17/06/2008 10:51

i have nightmare to pack for
I am away for two weeks

Two nights in DC in smart hotel, lunch with mates, posh dinner

Three nights in a log cabin by a river somewhere in the mountains (note to self - buy denim dungies and checked shirt)

Three nights in West Virginia at a smart wedding with parties all nights

Six nights in Cape Cod at a familyish beachy place

Now
Tell me how I get stuff for all of that into one case

CountessDracula · 17/06/2008 10:57

Were I going for a week to spain I would take birkenstocks and lo-rise converse only

CountessDracula · 17/06/2008 10:57

and one pair of high wedgie sandals just in case
