Center Parcs EU- what one and for how long?

We are a family of four, children are 14 & 4.5.

We did Longleat years ago when we just had one and loved it. But it’s now extortionate and looks like it’s cheaper to go to one in Europe!

We would be going at the end of June. Is one week enough? Is two weeks too much?

And if you’ve been to one, is there one that just tops them all? Children love anything water based! So a great pool with slides and possibly a splash park type for the younger one but she is an able swimmer anyway.

Thank you!

Villages Nature near Paris had a great water park. We did a week and booked through Disney, so we got 2 days of park tickets included.

CentreParcs Bispinger https://share.google/6fz909kdV4pukDsFi has the added attraction of a Merlin parc a couple of miles away https://share.google/LVwEuIUWPMEF96jGD the local town less than a mile away has an Aldi for lunches/breakfast/self catering but the main restaurant is buffet style with drinks included. I would say that you do need bikes though. Not as flashy but nearer is sunparcs in Belgium https://share.google/CXTGR8OJlEUXuPRRz it has a big swimming pool with slides next door and you could easily get to this waterpark down the coast share.google/MXmSGGfTbREepRAzM

Allgäu is stunning! The water area is huge, so clean and well organised. Stunning surroundings and accommodation. Handy for Legoland.

We enjoyed Boix Aux Daims in France. Just returning from a second visit to Les Trois Forêts in the east of France, which is also good, but very very hilly. Most people hire golf buggies rather than bikes at this site, but if you had electric bikes it might be okay. We do Monday to Friday and build an extra day either side for travelling and stopping in an interesting town.

We like de Kempervennen, big park with plenty to do for both ages, easy trips into the local towns for restaurants/pottering or Toverland/Efteling. I hear de Vossemeren is similar, the prices have always been a bit higher there when we've looked.

thanks all! Is a week enough?

For us, yes unless there are lots of day trips you want to do. We have done longer but split it across 2 parts in different areas.

The Belgium one we have done for a couple of days or a week. I think that is plenty. Centreparcs is more like 2 weeks. We often take the overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland but come back via Dunkirk. Bookings for CentreParcs only start on a Monday or Friday so we often do a Monday to the subsequent Friday.

Last year we did Kempervennen in Netherlands.

This year we are going to disneylandparis for 2 nights then driving on to CP Le Lac dAillette for 10 nights. We will do day trips from Le Lac

if you’re on Facebook there’s a really good group on there called ‘Center parcs Europe, just for Brit’s’. That’s got lots of information on all of the different parcs in Europe. We have done De Haan and Erperheide in Belgium. Both great for younger children (ours are 4 & 2) but probably not enough to do for your oldest DC.

MissAmbrosia · 21/02/2026 11:44

You could split between CPs and Duinrell. De Kempervennen is the best one for older kids, but De Haan has a lot more to do nearby - coastal tram runs the whole length. Also have a look at Landal.com and Roompot.com. The main Roompot resort on Zeeland is nice, and right on a small beach. Seal watching boat trips, Go Ape and Neeltje Jans Deltapark. Zeeland has some lovely towns.
