Paris Metro - GoHenry Card

After spending ages watching youtube videos and downloading various apps getting more and more confused I've finally found the very helpful advise on Mumsnet that you can just add and pay for tickets on the Paris metro / RER direct from the iPhone wallet travel card option. I'll be travelling in a few weeks with my DD13 who has her own iPhone with a GoHenry card linked to it. Has anyone tried purchasing tickets this way with a GoHenry card and can tell me if this works?

Thanks so much for any advise, I thought I was going mad until I found a previous thread on how to buy tickets!

Also if anyone has any top tips for places to eat / things to see with a young teen who isn't into art or museums that would be amazing. So far we just have Eiffel tower tickets booked and she wants to go to the Jellycat Patisserie.

The Metro tickets/apple wallet feature works brilliantly. I can't comment on the Go Henry card as our teens just used their normal bank accounts via Apple Pay. Do you have a second card/account you can add to her phone for the duration of your trip?

Things the teens loved in Paris - the Catacombs, the Glass Walk (and rooftops) at Galeries Lafayette, sorbets at Fruttini, the massive Sephora at Westfield des Halles.

Thanks for this and I will check out your suggestions!

Did you have your apple wallet open when tapping in and out of the metro? I've heard that it should still work even if you don't....

No - you have to purchase the tickets beforehand and have them in your wallet but you don't need to have your wallet open when your go through the gates. You just bip your phone on the scanner thingy and off you go!

Brilliant - thanks so much!
