Resorts with Nudist areas

We are currently in Jamaica Couples Tower Och Rios.
We plucked up the courage and went over to the nudist island and loved it !
We also went to Couples San Succhi which had its own nudist beach and pool - absolutely cracking.
We think it would be nice to factor into our yearly winter sun holiday in Feb/ March Has anyone got any suggestions of 5 star AI places they have been that offer this as an option.

If people find that sunscreen works for them when they wear trunks or a bikini, it’s also going to work for them when they’re naked.

The appeal of being naked on a beach is completely lost on me, I have to say. Each to their own though, and I can’t see why the practicalities would be any different to the practicalities of being on a beach in swimwear.

I am not a nudist, but as a hillwalker, long-distance bike tourer and enjoyer of swimming outdoors, I have regularly stripped off for a dip and then a dry off afterwards. Most of the time while alone or with good friends, a couple of occasions (the German site above, a few saunas in Finland and Sweden, a few Spanish beaches) and find it perfectly fine and enjoyable.
TBF, when it has been public, most folk are over 50 and male....

Most places ive been looking at only accept couples and not single males.

I think my German camps site had sympathy for a very tired, hungry and pretty lost cyclist at the end of a long day and the next nearest site 20 miles away!

Yes, I see what you’re saying, but I’m thinking about the sensitivity of skin that doesn’t usually see the sun (although I guess if you’re already a naturist, most of your skin has been in the sun at some point!)

But also thinking about how much £ you’d need to spend on sun cream. I usually only have my arms, lower legs and face out (I would wear a bikini but only in the shade). I have to use a lot of sun cream just for those areas. I can imagine needing to use about a quarter of a bottle to cover all of my skin, and then you’ve got to reapply every few hours. But then most people don’t use enough sun cream, I don’t think.

There are some large German spas with swimming pools as well as saunas, which you could consider for a break. You'd get the opportunity for swimming without swimwear, if not the sunshine, in winter.

I’ve seen naturists on certain beaches in Lanzarote, Mykonos (Greek island) & Formentera (small island near Ibiza). People of all ages, mainly straight or gay couples or small groups & the odd individual, but most seemed to be European.

I was going to suggest Germany too. Ex colleague of mine married a German woman but was still quite shocked at seeing his in-laws naked on a nudist beach.

Not my thing or for February, but France had a number of naturist resorts I understand and generally even standard beaches don't really have an issue with topless sunbathing.

Cap d'Agde is the grandaddy of French naturst resorts but I understand it is more of a sex/swingers place these days. We stayed in Beziers - the nearest town - a couple of years ago and some of the apartments that came up on Booking.com that were clearly aimed at Cap D'Agde visitors were a little ... um... eye opening! Our holiday was much more museums and walks along the canal, so we stayed at a standard French city centre hotel!

I’ve read some hair raising stuff about Cap d’Agde. It’s basically a dogging venue.

Once a month my local pool has naked swimming in the thermal outdoor pool. All year round there is a pool in the sauna area that is naked. Really relaxing.

I’m also the immature type but honestly, from the one time I did it, you are initially so focussed on your own nudity and feeling awkward that it’s only once you relax that you start factoring in that other people are naked as well and at this point you have already reached the point of « oh well, let’s just pretend everything is normal ».

Is it single sex or mixed? ( no way would I be swimming nude around a bunch of blokes) if it’s woman only I think that would be quite nice.

It is mixed. They have a ladies night on a Tuesday in the sauna area. It doesn’t feel seedy or awkward at all. It’s very much a social evening.

Correct! DD14 was horrified as we walked along the dunes last Feb half term.

Fuerteventura has some lovely naturist beaches.

Gosh. I feel my British reserve would not be able to cope with that. Not for me but good on the Germans if it works for them.

Estonia and Finland say 'hold my beer when it comes to sauna or swimming with family and friends naked' in my experience...

I didn’t think my British reserve could cope with it either but it’s fun and I have a good group of friends, male and female, there. There is a bar and restaurant too so it becomes a night out.
Hard not to look when a man has penis and nipple piercings and I really want to ask him if they don’t hurt in the sauna when they warm up 🤣
For my 50th we invited a guy we knew from the sauna - he turned up at my door and I didn’t know who he was because he had clothes on 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have only ever had one problem with someone a few weeks ago. He saw me with my BF, BF was very PDA that evening, so it’s not as if he thought I was single. I was putting my robe on over my head and he pulled it down for me and asked if I wanted to go to the toilets for a quickie.

Magic life fuerteventura has a section including a pool and the beach is clothing optional too (no signs but around 1/4 were without clothing) though it’s been 3 years since we went do check if policies have changed. It’s not 5 star but it’s a good 4 star ai

Glad I found this thread. My good lady and I went to a naturist swim evening recently and loved it. All these venues in warmer climates sound great, we’ll get googling. Thank you 😃

I've stayed at the exact same hotel OP. Think I ate the bruschetta in that restaurant on stilts for 10 out of my 14 nights there 🤣

I've now introduced my DP to nudist beaches and hes a convert too. We usually head to Greece and hire a car so a quick Google search will tell you your nearest beach, or if we're on a smaller island where the beach is deserted we'll just strip off.

I wouldn't rule out a nudist resort as such...I'm just so fussy it would have to be the right type of place.
