Accommodation recommendations in Bruges or Ghent

We've booked the main part of our holiday in the Netherlands. On the way home we'd like to stay in Bruges or Ghent for three nights. We have stayed in both before but a long time ago.

Ideally we would like three bedrooms (two secondary school aged children) so an Airbnb type place is probably the most realistic budget wise. Does anyone have any recommendations for accommodation that would fit the bill?

We went to Bruges last summer, two families with teens so we booked out this B&B (B’guest sleep retreat) https://www.booking.com/Share-4I8j5N, it has 4 rooms. It was perfect, we used the garden and pool, great location, lovely breakfast and hosts.

Thank you for the recommendation. It does look lovely but sadly it's booked when we will be there.

Urban Gardens campsite in Ghent was great. Close to city centre, great lake with water slides included, lodges to rent.
Loved Ghent. Did a day trip to Bruges by train.

Oh that looks interesting. Thanks @House4DS how long does it take to get into Ghent from there? Do you know if you can cycle?

What about Ostend? It's a quick train journey to Brugge.

@RoseandBubbles very cyclable. 15 mins into the centre by bike I think. 5-10 mins to Aldi. Buses go from outside the site too.
I was really impressed by the site.

@RoseandBubbles We stayed at the Hotel Bourgondische Cruyce. Fab art collection and location. That’s in Brugge. The Telegraph has an excellent overview of hotels in these cities and is reliable. Check out their views with reviews elsewhere though.

Hotel Aragon in central historic Bruges has rooms which have a large bed in the main room and a small twin room just off it. Not perfect but if the local air bnb’s are booked it might be a good option. It is a nice hotel, I’ve stayed there before.

They’re basic but we stayed in the YHA in Brugge and in Ghent. We bag a private room with two sets of bunks and a bathroom. Very decent breakfast included.

I have stayed in hotel academie in Brugge , easy to walk into the centre , clean and comfortable without a huge price tag , it was several years ago , I stayed twice for a couple of nights and would definitely stay again on past experience
