Am thinking of Langkawi for November but it’s been suggested that there’s not enough to do for two weeks , is this right , I like a mix of beach and sights to explore / visit . Also if I did a week there where else would be good to tack on for another week ( preferably not Malaysia as I’ve been there . Thankyou

Yes we just went over Christmas and New Year. We actually spent the best part of two weeks there but it was mostly a very chilled beach holiday for us. There are sights to see, but I imagine you will have seen it all in a week or less. I’d recommend the mangrove kayaking, the sky bridge cable bar and tanjong rhu beach. It’s a very safe and chilled island and the people are lovely and friendly. You could combine it with Penang? We flew out of KL so spent our final couple of days there.

Depends what you want to do, I know you say you'd like a mix of chilling and exploring but depends on the balance doesn't it?

There are things to do which will occupy pretty much a full day each, e.g. the mangrove/island hopping tours, cable car/sky bridge/7 wells waterfalls, visits to local craft/culture centres. Your resort might also have on site activities which take up a couple of hours, nature walks, cooking classes, sort of thing. If you spread these activities out, with loads of chilled beach/pool time, you might fill up 2 weeks. I usually find a week is enough for me personally but then again I'm not a "chilled beach sunbathing" person.

You could get the ferry to Koh Lipe (Thailand) if you want to try a different tropical island.

We spent about two weeks there. We also went to Koh Lipe for a few days. We were mainly on the beach in both places but Lankawi we also rented a car to visit stuff

It’s nice but I think you’d be bored after a week. You can combine it with a combination of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Phuket.
