Private Chef coming to our Villa - how does it work?

I appreciate this may sound a bit silly, but how does it all work with getting a chef into our villa to cook a special meal?

The chef has good credentials and I decided that rather than eating out, we’d pay for him to cook a nice meal for us.

How do we decide what to eat? Do you usually buy the ingredients yourself? Who does the washing up?

Usually you discuss a menu plan with their suggested options.

Typically they shop for all the ingredients then prep, cook, serve and clean up. It's normal that they bill for their charge with a separate itemised bill for groceries.

You'd have to agree on how to buy wine pairing suggestions etc.

They will agree a menu with you, usually they will have examples of previous meals they have prepared. They do all the shopping, prep, cooking and washing up.

Most prep will be done before they arrive to minimise cooking at your villa (which may not be well equipped).
