50th birthday trip/ plans for DH at Easter

DH is 50 in the Easter holidays and I would like to-
1.- have a luxury weekend/ short break away just the two of us and/or
2- go away as a family with tween dc somewhere interesting or special and/or
3- go away for a week somewhere nice ( ideally warm) as family with snorkeling or interesting things for tween and/or
4- have a small local celebration with friends and kids

any ideas? Bonus points for ideas for all 4!

Budget is flexible depending on what we choose to do but want to make the most of our money!

2 - Rome?
3- we did Mexico for DH 50th

1 We went to York as a couple last year March, plenty of really nice hotels and so much to do and see.

2 If it doesn't have to be warm - Prague was good for a long weekend (we did Thursday pm - Monday). If you go before Easter, Seville is big on the Semana Santa, I am sure other Spanish cities as well. It won't be beach weather though.

3 To go snorkling at Easter you need long haul, a week is short. We went twice to the Caribbean, great weather in April and plenty to do. But I wouldn't fly that far for what is basically just 5 days.

4 - depends on your DH. I skipped a party and took 3 girlfriends for a weekend trip to Bath. DH had a BBQ party with friends as no family is local.

Galápagos Islands. Stop over in Quito on the way!

Option 2, Seville is a great call for Semana Santa. Also Malta had great parades on Good Friday and slightly smaller one on Easter Sunday, we were in Gozo but main island of Malta also had many parades. Everything shut museum wise though on Good Friday. Option 3. Red Sea (presumably Egypt), Seychelles or Mauritius is better timezone wise, Carribbean is nearer than either Seychelles or Mauritius for flying, Thailand is better for your budget, but jet lag will be a lot for a week.
