Partner is 40 in July and looking for any hidden gems?
We have a 4 year old that I’m reluctant to leave for more than one night.
Happy to take child with us, and even grandparents to look after child if a distance and a good restaurant.

any quirky hotels? Or great views?
we live in the countryside so no shepherd huts or farm stays type thing.
Just looking for something a bit different that isn’t crazy price is that’s possible!

thank you for any ideas!

Which part of the country do you live in and how far are you prepared to travel?

Sorry yes that would’ve helped in the midlands happy to travel around 2.5 hours

How about Brighton? This is a lovely hotel and not too spendy.
There are also apartments if you wanted to make a weekend of it as a family.

For something quirky, I’d recommend The Sidings Hotel near York
