South Korea where do we base ourselves?

We are spending 7 nights in SK in August; where shall we stay? Should we spend all our time in Seoul or try to visit another town.

Any recommendations of hotels? 2 adults and 2 teens girls

I’d say it depends how much you want to see and where. There is so much to do in Seoul that you can easily spend a week there and not run out of things to do.

We loved Busan and stayed there for 12 days but that’s mainly because DD currently lives there.

It was just DH and I and we found Seoul a bit overwhelming because we only had a few days there and there is just so much. I think teens would love it though.

It will be very hot in August (sorry if that’s obvious!) so I’d recommend not trying to pack too much in each day, especially outdoor stuff.

Thank you; probably there us just enough time for Seoul. We have been in Japan in August so know it would be hot in SK.

My daughter lived in South Korea and went on holiday to Jeju island.

Jeju looks amazing; not sure we will have enough time though

You could do a day trip to Sokcho (2.30hr away by bus) if you wanted coast, or you could try Nami Island or Suwon for easier options. But with teens na din august you will probably fill you days in Seoul.

Staying around Euljiro 3 would give you easy access to the green and orange lines but also be in a good position for Myeongdong, Cheonggycheon, Gwangjang Market and the blue and purple lines.
