Has anyone been? Not fussed about lounging on beach / by pool so happy with warmer climate to allow for pleasant relaxation / sight seeing?

I’m going in Jan , don’t expect it to be particularly warm but plan sightseeing in Valletta , watching with interest

Went for 10 days March in 2024 and it was windy but 20 degrees or warmer, t-shirt weather if out of the wind. Right now seems to be around 17 degrees but raining a bit. We stayed in Valletta itself which was great, better base perhaps than the tourist suburbs across the harbour to the north-west. Lots to do around Valletta, we bought heritage Malta passes and did loads of the sites, we used Valletta as a base for day trips to Hagar Qim and Tarxien temples, covered by the heritage Malta pass. Plus Hypogeum (book now some availability for January, only allow 12 people in per hour) a UNESCO site not included in the pass. Three cities area also accessible by 5 minute boat ride across the inlet from Valletta. We went to Gozo for a few days and then stayed in Mdina overnight in the way back, but Mdina can also be done as a day trip from Valletta. Had a really lovely trip.
