They also require any telephone numbers used by visitors over the same period, and any email addresses used in the last decade, as well as face, fingerprint, DNA and iris biometrics. They would also ask for the names, addresses, birthdates and birthplaces of family members, including children.

It is ridiculous.

Presumably that includes work email addresses too.

It will be interesting to see how workplaces are dealing with this. Not just for a business trip but can/will they restrict if you can go to the US privately if you have to declare your workemail?

What if your company is US critic or does do business with a state the US doesn‘t like (that list seems to change on a regular basis)?

DH already said his company (total of 5 people, owned by him and one another) will not entertain going to the US anymore but will set up meetings in Canada. That is obviously a luxury they can do.

Whilst you can't ever rule anything out, I can't really see how a workplace can get upset if an employee supplies their work email address for an official form.

What will make it more interesting is if the email address supplied no longer works. Either because you have left that company, or because the company no longer exists. Will the "AI" engines they will invariably be using to run this clown show get upset with a bounceback ? Will you be accused of lying to Uncle Sam ?

It's only a matter of time before this administration hits upon the genius idea of making the governments of people detained by ICE to pay for their incarceration. (After all Mexico had to pay to build that wall).

It would all depend what resources they are bringing to bear. No one posting on here would be "anonymous" to any deep trawl of what is available.

You need to remember this initiative has nothing whatsoever to do with keeping control of the US borders and everything to do with keeping control of the US population. It all makes "sense" then.

I do suspect the endgame is to isolate the US population. It's already such a huge country that many people never even leave their own state and I believe only about 50% of adult US citizens have a passport. Making sure foreigners with different perspectives stay at home is helpful in that regard.
