Going May for a couple of nights...2 adults, hopefully no more than £250 a night. We dont know Paris at all!

I stayed at the Hotel Da Vinci on Rie Des Saints Peres and it was absolutely lovely. It’s was £700 for two nights, but that included our flights and airport transfer.

The hotel Des deux gates within a five minute walk of the Eurostar station. Has a restaurant across the road that has a brilliant menu.

Hotel decorated beautifully. Cheaper

I assume that you have checked out guidebooks etc and identified some possible areas to stay. The Metro is fast, efficient (and smells of old socks, but you get used to that 😀), but remember the further out you stay, the longer your journey times each day.

Citadines, have apart hotels all over the city, they have 24 hour reception and offer studios, one bed, and 2 bed apartments with kitchenette and bathroom. They are not five star luxury but they are nicely furnished and offer more space than most Parisian accommodation. They are available on the usual booking sites and their own website. Compare prices, they can differ.

Enjoy yourselves, wherever you stay.

We stayed in Louis II on our last visit which I'd definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Hotel Rosalie, really convenient for metro and area, staff were lovely and amazing breakfast, but the car park was TINY and had to be booked in advance… https://www.hotel-rosalie.com/

The Astotel chain is excellent, Hotel Malte is very central and easily accessible by bus from Gare du Nord if getting Eurostar but there are many others to choose from.

Stayed here a lifetime ago. Not terribly swanky, little boutique townhouse but the location was exceptional for a short stay. No breakfast facilities at the time but the little cafe from Sex and the City was around the corner. Sadly it's now an asian restaurant but it was very convenient and right beside La Samaritain, a very lovely department store.

Also stayed here as we were travelling with kids and wanted a small kitchenette. Very new and modern, couldn't fault it. On the right dates it may fit your budget.

Very cheap and cheerful but there are ibis hotels all throughout the city and they are clean and convenient. You can get 5 nights for about £400 based on two people.
