We had to cancel our holiday in October at very short notice due to an accident. We have a BA upgrade voucher and booked original on Avios annd had it re funded and it expires in May. No we have a holiday booked an Easter.

Need to go school holidays. Would like short haul for three nights somewhere warm ish and relaxing. Maybe southern Spain??

ideally I’d like to go to palma but will it be cold?

I’m thinking jeans and jumper weather not sunbathing weather

Palma will be average 15/16degrees feb.

We went to Alicante last Feb and going again this Feb coming. It was lovely, everywhere was quiet, restaurants were open but off-season times so not all day and all night, it was about 18degrees day time so not warm enough for sea or outdoor pool swimming but nice for sitting on a deckchair and reading a book or chatting. We went to a couple of local attractions, DD loved Crocodile Park and wandered around town and the souvenir shops on the beach front.

Able to get a flight from small local airport rather than having to travel 2 and a half hrs into London and on the other side it was a 10 min taxi ride to the hotel.

Madeira. BA used to do holidays there as well as flights, not sure if they still do, but they were very good value.

Malaga should be t shirt weather in the day. Day trips to Granada.

DemonsandMosquitoes · 30/11/2025 18:55

We went to Malaga in Feb and were on the beach. We were also in T-shirts during the day in Seville in January! Love Seville, amazing place.

DemonsandMosquitoes · 30/11/2025 18:56

Also had lovely warm sunny weather in Valencia in January.

Another vote for Malaga. Loads to do, easy public transport, fab weather and lovely beaches.

Editing as I didn’t read only 3 days, was thinking more all inclusive.

Lanzarote. I’ve been Feb half term ish a few times and perfect mild winter sun temps. Playa Blanca side of the island is chill. The Marina Rubicon has some nice restaurants and a market. But not too much to do… boat trip for dolphins and coach tour of the volcanos. More all inclusive vibes than city break.

I suggest you might try one of the Canary Islands, or Madeira. I've been there at that time of year and had very pleasant weather.

SnowFrogJelly · 01/12/2025 00:51

Canary Islands..

I agree the Canaries are one of the best options. Also southern Portugal is good at this time of the year. We have done both during winter and both are nice. We used info from here https://www.spain.info/en/discover-spain/spain-winter/ and https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/blog/featured/spain-autumn-winter-what-to-do for Spanish destinations for winter, and here https://oladaniela.com/guide-to-winter-in-portugal/ for Portugal.

MiddleAgedDread · 01/12/2025 12:51

I'd start by looking at where you can fly to with BA from your local airport(s).
If you want gauranteed sun you need to go further south than the Med and into North Africa / Canaries or even the ME but that's probably too far for 3 nights.

Ginmonkeyagain · 01/12/2025 15:32

We went to Seville in late February a few years ago and it was jeans and T shirt weather during the day (one day it was warm enough for a skirt and sandals) in the day and then a light jacket or cardie in the evening.

MissAmbrosia · 01/12/2025 20:08

We went to Malaga end of Feb last year and it was glorious. Seville in December too. Loads to do and see in both places.
