Taking contraceptive pill to US

Sorry if this is a dumb question - dd is going to NYC in a couple of weeks. She wants to take her contraceptive pill with her. It’s still in the original box but no other paperwork. Is that sufficient?

Yes that’s fine. As long as it’s in the box with the sticker from the chemist on it that shows her name she won’t have any issues. I always recommend to take medication in hand luggage so that they can have a look at it if needed (they won’t, people travel with contraceptive pills all the time), rather than the hold where 1) it might get lost 2) they’d have to pull her bag apart if it flagged up for whatever reason

That’s fab - thank you. She’s a bit nervous as went travelling round Australia last year and didn’t take the box they came in 🤦🏽‍♀️ then decided to pop to Bali and had to leave her pill in Oz 🙈

I have a zip up leather pouch I keep my pills in for travelling and travelled to the USA last year with it full of a sheet of degesterol, vitamin D tablets, glucosamine tablets, collagen and Nytol. No one cared.
