Hi we are planning a holiday for DH 40th in 2027 either easter half term or summer school holidays. We have alot of destinations in mind but DH feels we wouldn’t be able to do the things we want to due to the ages of our children so we we need to rethink. Children will be 14,1,2, does anyone have any thoughts of somewhere we could go to that feels extra special? We dont think Thailand or Jamaica would work and do want it to be a far away destination.

How about a cruise? The entertainment and childcare for kids (and teens) onboard a cruise ship is better than most hotels. Unlike hotels, they have night crèches where you can leave the dc to sleep while you dine and enjoy the evening entertainment.

Singapore has loads to do for families / teens if you are looking for a further away destination. If you decide against a long flight then maybe look at Sani / Ikos depending on how healthy your budget is and how active your teen likes to be.

You’re going to have a 1 year old Easter 2027? So you’re a few weeks pregnant then? Anyway! How about somewhere in the Caribbean for Easter?

Anywhere in the Caribbean works at Easter. There are much nicer places than Jamaica. A smaller more intimate island is great, The BVIs are highly recommended . You will find it a bit cheaper than high season. You could try Florida or any southern state in the USA. California too. You don’t need to rush around and I’d just do 3 or 4 bases. These countries are child friendly and easy to navigate.
