Matlock Farm Park

Anyone been here on a showery/wet/not very warm day? Was it rubbish or not? Going to have a big family meet up on Saturday - kids 12,5,3,3,6 months. Farm Park seems by far the best for the age range (the 12 year old likes animals), but the weather looks somewhere between really showery and quite wet. Would the Farm Park still be fun, or shall we go for an indoor option, even it doesn't sound as suitable in terms of activities?

It'll be fine. There's a massive covered wooden play area and a separate play barm with cafe.

It was/is fine, but dont expect to be there for a whole day, more like a morning or afternoon. I grew up close to there and my family still live there, so we have been a handful of times with my son. I seem to recall the last time we went the main playbarn was not open and we ate our sandwiches in a wet marquee. We have been in late October and it wasn't very busy (due to the reasons you mention) but still had a reasonable time. That said I am not sure if I would travel far to go to it even if it were sunny! It is difficult as all of the better places (Gullivers Kingdom, Crich Tramway) are all closed as it is out of season.

cardboard33 that's really useful. We will all be based in south Sheffield anyway so not too far.
