Solo in Mexico

This isn’t a holiday but it is the nearest board. So I’m used to travelling all over for work, with my wheely suitcase and laptop I can head off around Europe / Japan / USA and be fine.

now work have suggested a trip to Puebla in Mexico. Just a 2 hour bus ride from Mexico City airport and then a big conference in the city centre, they say.

am I a wimp to feel this is not very safe? The trip organisers are all men, and as a solo female traveller I’m just not sure they have thought things through.

I spent a week in Mexico City with my DH, we did a load of guided tours and met lots of women on them travelling on their own…eating out on their own travelling on from Mexico City on their own. We used uber which worked really well. I wondered around the bit of the city we were staying in la condessa really happily on my own. It’s a beautiful city, really green. Great food. There’s bits you don’t want to be in but it’s way to avoid them. I’d go back like a shot.
