One night in Paris?

Is it worth it? Flights are £110 from my local airport and it almost seems too good to be true. I would be looking at the easter bank holiday weekend and I am considering the Eurostar? But I don’t know if one weekend is enough

Have you been before and what sort of things do you want to do? If you’re into galleries and shopping, there’s enough in Paris to last a week.

Yes, if it falls within your budget. Will be fun.

Mainly the Louvre to be honest

I’m wondering if it would be cheaper to get an airport hotel in London and do an extreme day trip!

Eurostars for Easter weekend have already been released, so you won’t get them for £110 return now.

Bugger me that’s early!

to be fair, I may look at other trips. I was just considering it because I’ve always wanted to got on the Louvre and see the Eiffel Tower

Eurostars get released in unexpected blocks. I was keeping an eye out for 13 February and my trip in late April was available at the same time.

Train to Paris is brilliant - better than flying imho - bc you land right in the centre and can quickly get the metro to your hotel. Last time I went it was a lot less than £110 return tbh.

Train is good if you’re there for a short time as you waste less time getting into and out of Paris.

I just had a look (because that's the kind of thing I like doing 🙄) and actually, you can still get a return Eurostar to Paris over the Easter weekend for £110! But most of the fares on the Friday are expensive- it's only the late evening trains that are still cheap. Lots of cheap fares coming back on the Sunday. If I was in this position I'd go on Thursday evening.

i’ve just done a two night but in effect one day trip to Paris. totally doable in a day if you either don’t mind what you see and do and go with the flow or have a specific intention like the Louvre. i will go back but for longer so it isnt such a whistle stop visit. the local taxi drivers were a rip off and i found the ubers for whizzing about much more polite and reliable.
beuvois airport is quite a trek out of paris but flights are a lot cheaper. i didn’t think of eurostar for my next trip so off to look now
