October half term with a toddler

We are looking to do our first beach holiday at October half term with our two year old. We don't need it to be hugely hot but warm enough to splash in the sea would be perfect.

So far I'm looking at Cyprus or the Canaries. Would you recommend either above the other or any particular resorts? We would love sandy beaches, a playground and any other places to visit that would be good for a two year old to roam around! We're obviously not fussed about nightlife and would like a nice, relaxing cafes etc.

We went to Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen when DD was that age. Long golden beach, very child friendly with playgrounds, Rancho Texas zoo worth a visit. We also went to the aquarium in Costa Teguise, easy to get around using local buses

Ps maybe wouldn’t quite describe as “relaxing”
as it is a big resort, but not exactly Ayia Napa either, and out of school holidays it was quiet. The beach is so long I doubt it ever feels that crowded

I came to recommend PDC. The other place that was good for us with toddlers was Benalmadena.

Unless you are teachers does it have to be half term when it is more expensive and busier?

Thanks will check out that resort. Playgrounds and a zoo sounds brilliant.
Yes I'm a teacher so we are forever tied to expensive and busy holidays!
