Who’s been to Rhodes recently?

Hi I’m going to Lindos in 2 weeks and have recently seen an Instagram post that said this summer two sun beds on St Paul’s Bay were €100! I’m now worried that going to the many different beautiful beaches, which we wanted to do is going to be extortionate. So has anyone been recently and knows whether this is true and if so which beaches you can visit cheaply / freely? Many thanks.

I haven’t been recently but you don’t have to sit on the sunbeds!

If you don't get concrete responses, just go on Google maps and select the various beaches in the area. Find the reviews and filter for mentions of sunbeds. The newer reviews will usually mention prices. And yes, for several beaches the prices are very high, but who knows if they'll be a bit lower so late in the season.

I went in September and we paid €10 each person for sunbeds in Lindos (and various other beaches). I'm sure some beds on some beaches might be more, but we didn't have any problems.

I went in July to pefki which is just down the road and sun beds were €15 with a bottle of water. Linda’s is going to be more expensive but I think the beach is not as nice as others by far. I wouldn’t even stay in Lindos as the prices are hiked.

Those prices are savage! I live in Cyprus, prices are set by the government at €2.50, so €7.50 for 2 beds and a brolly anywhere. Sorry, I know that doesn't help you 😕

But a couple of lilos 🙂

The cabana style beds on St Paul's Bay are €100. All other beds on the main beach and Pallas beach are €10 each with an umbrella. IMO St Paul's Bay is overrated. Have dinner there 1 night & go and take some photos during the day but Pallas beach is nicer with more facilities.

I was in Rhodes in the summer and we went to lindos for the day. Didn’t go in any sunbeds though just the sand. It was heaving when we went- will likely be much quieter for you. I think like others have said the £100 is for the cabanas

sugarandcyanide · 03/10/2025 20:30

I think it was €60 for 2 beds at the front when we went a couple of years ago. The beds further back are cheaper, they did offer to find us cheaper ones.

In 2 weeks I don't think you'll be able to lounge much in the sun, unless you're fine with these temps... Anyway, I think those prices are for peak season when the island is packed.

@Redskyinthedark that’s a really useful suggestion about looking at Google maps and reviews, thank you.
@Notlivingmybestlife69 thanks for the suggestion if Pallas beach - will check this out.
Thanks everyone else for the confirmation that it’s the cabana style beds as I didn’t know this. Sounds like we’ll be fine with regular sunbeds.
