Hoping to do a week away in early February avoiding half term. It has to be then as my mat leave will finish at Feb half term (teacher). We will have DS 4 and DD 9 months. Wondering if there is anywhere abroad that isn't hugely expensive and a reasonable temperature? We don't need it boiling but hotter than the UK maybe early 20s

I went to grab canaria (Puerto Rico) last Feb half term and it was hot- around 26-30 degrees.

Southern Spain. We’ve taken a 2 and 5 year old in the past. Malaga around 20 degrees or so in the afternoon and has a nice beach. Seville was also a hit for similar weather and lovely green city parks for a stroll and a play. Caution re Spanish eating times for restaurants ie dinner starts at 9pm. We self-catered. Enjoy your break

We had nice weather in Valencia at Feb half term. Lovely city and very reasonable for food and drink.

Agree that Southern Spain should be nice - t-shirt weather in the day - maybe not pool warm though.

I spent a week in February in the Naples area, a few years ago. We visited Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Sorrento and climbed Vesuvius. The weather was pleasant (15-17 degrees) and the crowds were minimal. It was a really lovely holiday.

Cuprus is pleasant at that time of year

Madeira is usually okay then. I don’t agree with Cyprus. Can be pretty rainy in Feb.

We had lovely weather on the Costa del Sol in February. The days are warm but you need to be prepared for colder nights and the possibility of rain as it’s a turning month.

The Canaries might be a safer bet if you can get a deal.
