Budapest at Christmas

Has anyone on here been to Budapest in or around the christmas and new year period? Is it worth a trip?

Yes we went last year. Absolutely brilliant. I think it won best European Christmas market again for 2024!

it was very christmasy. The markets spread across the city / ice rinks/ hot food and drink etc. really lovely atmosphere. Loads of craft stalls etc.

Also loads of non- Christmas themed sightseeing to do across the two cities / museums / castle / etc. Would definitely go back.
