New York hotel recommendations?

Planning a 4 day trip mid May 2026. I’ve been twice before but BFFs first time so thinking want to be fairly central but not too £££££!! Any ideas please?

World centre hotel

I stay at The Gregorian in midtown, right by Empire State Building.

Thanks all I’ll check them out.

That’s where I stayed because of the location.

We were there recently and stayed at The Bryant Park, great location and views over the park.
Last year stayed at The Langham, a bit more on the more expensive side but worth every penny.

Another vote for Crowne Plaza HY36, stayed a few weeks back after it was recommended and it was great.

We stayed at courtyard by Marriott Hudson, gorgeous hotel and fantastic staff. We actually got married while we were there and they couldn’t have done enough for us. Near a subway and the river

We stayed here a couple of years ago, really loved the location close to ESB and Grand Central, and room was good size with little kitchen The Shelburne Sonesta New York
