Paris at Christmas

Hello, I’m looking for some advice/recommendations. My partner and I both have a significant milestone birthday just before Christmas, and we’re going to go on the Eurostar to Europe for a few days. I think it will be Paris. I really want it to be lovely! We’ve been together for two years, and it’s my first relationship since a painful divorce (and decades long sexless and emotionless marriage ). Does anyone know anywhere nice to stay? And anything not to be missed? I’ve been before, but he hasn’t. We like history, walking, art. I don’t think it will be Romantic with a capital R, but I do want us to have a nice time. TIA.

The area of Paris you want to stay in is 100% Montmartre. It’s just the prettiest part of the city!

I think the best area to stay is The Latin Quarter / 5th Arrondisement!

It's close to everything & has fabulous cafes & restaurants & bars

Hope you have a wonderful time op!

The biggest and best Christmas market is the one near the Louvre in the Tuileries garden. It’s also got a Christmas-themed fairground.
The Christmas market at Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower has the best ice skating.
The Champs-Élysées looks beautiful at Christmas, lined with sparkling trees. Also, if you walk down Avenue Montaigne toward Place de l'Alma, you'll see the Eiffel tower lit up and framed by Christmas lights.

If the budget permits, Hotel Belloy is pure class.

OP, you need to give some idea of your budget.

Yes of course, silly me. I think we’d be thinking of spending up to £250 a day, all in.

I love this hotel and the area.

I think you can get a classic double at Christmas time on your budget
