Booked and paid deposit but seen some bad reviews about the food and flies. Has anyone been in the last couple of years?

Yes, we went a couple of years ago.
I'd say no one goes to a place like this for the food! My kids had the best holiday ever and still talk about it and they loved all the pizza, kebabs, ice cream, mountains of chips.
There were some flies and the whole place seemed to have some drain issues as there were various smelly areas and we had to ask to be moved from our first chalet as it stunk of the drains. Secondroom was fine though.

It's a bit like Butlins in that you go somewhere like this because your kids will love it, and you will have a nice time because they have a nice time. But you wouldn't choose to go without kids.

If you have 5-15 year olds they will probably have the best time ever - zoo, waterpark, entertainment, kids club, pool parties. Mine are desperate to go back.
