Es Trenc beach from Pollensa - worth it?

We will be staying in Pollensa next week with young DC who love beaches. We have been to Mallorca before but never with DC. Is it worth the 1hr 20min drive from Pollensa to Es Trenc to visit that beach or shall we just stick to the closer beaches?

We are fairly active holidaymakers so not inclined to stay round the same pool or beach all week and keen to get out and explore, but at the same time don't fancy a long drive with kids if its not really worth it.

It’s worth it, beautiful white sand - however I wouldn’t travel all that way with kids when Formentor is in spitting distance and Cala San Vincente a hop on the bus. Depends how old your kids are and if they would appreciate it because it’s going to be mental busy there right now, very popular with nudists (doesn’t bother me!) , and not the peaceful and serene location Google images would have you think.

If I wanted more off the beaten track I might try Sa Rapita - also very pretty and less touristy. Although Mallorca in August is still going to be touristy.

Thanks. On balance it doesn’t sound worth the journey with kids. We will aim to get to Formenter early!

I live in Pollensa and quite early on decided it wasn’t worth driving miles for different beaches as they are frequently very similar!! Formentor is tiny and will be packed so get there early. Cala san vicenc is also lovely though the second beach around where I go doesn’t have any toilets (plenty of cafes though)

muro beach is great but will also be swamped, but it’s august so everywhere is like that.

in august I just close all my house shutters and stay indoors between 10 - 5pm then jump in the pool. It’s way too hot to be outside! You tourists are all quite mad Grin
