FAILSAFE mosquito repellent

Just that - I am an all you can eat buffet while away on hols. Heading to Spainnand need something that is going to keep them off me!! Hit me with your best sprays/creams/whatever

Anything with DEET or Picaridin will be effective, but you do need to cover all exposed skin (if you miss a bit you might get a bite there!) I use Sawyer Insect Repellent with 20% Picaridin (from Amazon) as it's less toxic for the kids than DEET based repellents.

I believe they work by the smell making it harder for mozzies to find you, but they aren't foolproof; so if you are a magnet for them, you'll probably need to use repellent too.

Nothing works totally. The most I can find it 50% DEET and I still get bitten.

I used a spray called Smidge which was pretty good, think you can get it from Amazon. Not a fan of anything containing DEET, whilst it's effective, it's pretty nasty stuff.

I agree Smidge is amazing. I don’t get bitten at all since using it.

I found Pyramid Protect Natural works. It's quite sticky when you spray it on but lasts for hours. I used Songbird Naturals insect repellent wax beforehand, which I found effective but not as user friendly (they now have a spray which I've not tried).

Cover up at dawn and dusk, deet spray for bits not covered. I had boots own brand and jungle formula for India and neither were full proof, got eaten one night
