Faro airport queues?

Does anybody have any recent (travelling in summer holidays 2025) reviews of the queues in both arrivals and departures at Faro? Travelling next week with 3 young children, one with ASD, and feeling very nervous about it having seen the info on social media about how bad it’s been recently. We have requested special assistance but im not sure how much difference it will make.

There last week. Yes it was busy but not as bad as we thought. If you have special assistance then you’ll be in the priority passport queue, even if you don’t but you have young DC then you can join it.
We gave ourselves 3 hours on the way home and we could have managed with half that!

It all depends on the number of flights arriving at the same time. Some people get through in 15 mins, others take an hour or more.

If you have assistance it should be better 🤞

Check the arrivals and departures around your flight times to get an idea of how busy the airport will be (obviously can't control for delayed flights etc)
