Hi all..... Ok here is the deal I have £103 worth of token (have saved them up over the year) so they are basically worth just over £400 but I am struggling to decide what the best way is to get the most from them. I don't want to add any other money to them (i.e. a holiday.... unless I can find one under £400!).... we like wine (but don't want to blow it all on wine (glug glug!)... outings etc.... Any ideas????

magazine subscriptions are nice
loads of days out - where are you?

3missys · 27/05/2008 11:42

Chelmsford, Essex.... Was thinking of more of a treat so perhaps hotels..... I'm useless at deciding - I get all excited as it like I've got free money !

Last week I was having my hair cut and the hairdresser and two other women were talking about using clubcard deals for Marriot Hotel Weekend Breaks. They had all been to various Marriot Hotels and they were very impressed.

stitch · 27/05/2008 16:00

well, for us, it is the merlin pass

foxythesnowfox · 27/05/2008 16:13

Food? Bombay Bicycle take-away deliveries, Tootsies or Dexters for family meals out? Will go with the wine

foxythesnowfox · 27/05/2008 16:15

Have you got the Tesco Clubcard Deals brochure?

boo70 · 27/05/2008 16:38

If you have children you could get the tusards passes, i saved up mine for a year and got passes that would have been £240. they last a year.

boo70 · 27/05/2008 16:41

If you look here there are some great ideas:
www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/hope that link works!!

stitch · 27/05/2008 20:19

unfortunately themerlin pass can only be b ought as singles from clubcard.
i thought i would get the portsmouth harbour days thing. but it seems i have to order them about a weekbefore hand. and i wanted to go visit on thursdaya.

WendyWeber · 27/05/2008 20:24

stitch, for other deals (ferry tickets) I have twice in the last 2 weeks ordered online and the vouchers arrived within 2 working days.

stitch · 27/05/2008 20:25

should i risk ordering now then? we could go no friday instead of thursday

I would, stitch

If they do arrive too late for this week they last for 6 months - you could go in the summer instead? Or you can turn them back into points if that's no good?

charliecat · 27/05/2008 20:38

i would convert them into blackpool pleasurebeach vouchers and sell them on ebay in pairs...then spend the money as I wanted.

stitch · 27/05/2008 20:38

ooo, i didnt know that.
yes, i shall order them. thanks wendy.
what i actually wanted is themerlin pass. it is 375 for a family pass, or 125 for a single. the single is available for 27.50 in clubcard poiints, but i only have 77. so cant get four singles. and the singles are one price only. no child rate tickets.

portsmouth, here we come.

3missys · 30/05/2008 08:46

I convert all mine to airmiles and I'm off to Hong Kong again next week to visit my best friend FREE thanks to Tesco clubcard, it's all I think of whilst doing the shopping and this is the second time I've done it

tiredemma · 30/05/2008 10:30

How do you save them up over the year? I thought that they came quaterly and you had to redemm them in that quater?

WendyWeber · 30/05/2008 10:39

They last for 2 years, emma

tiredemma · 30/05/2008 10:40

so I can 'roll over' points if I dont redeem them when the statement comes?

WendyWeber · 30/05/2008 10:42

Oh yes! I keep mine in an envelope pinned on the kitchen board with the amounts & expiry dates on the front.

WendyWeber · 30/05/2008 10:43

(And the Deals value as well)

Also, when you trade them in, if your tokens are worth a bit more than the deal you're getting they add the points back on to your card so you start again with those.
