Do you have any recommendations for a holiday break in October - somewhere still hot (high 20s, early 30's) with a luxury hotel.

Would rather not fly more than 12 hours - ideally a lot shorter than that!

Lovely beach,luxury hotel, good food!

Just a flop on the beach for a week type thing.

For the week beginning 18th Oct.

Thanks

Thanks Prufrock!

It all sounds great! I have rather fallen in love with the ocean front suite though The tripadvisor review was a bit 'off' so nice to hear from someone who has 'been around' LOL!

Wotzy - have emailed you back off to look at the one's you suggested!

Custy - I rather think that exclusive resort is one I would prefer to visit without the children in tow

Yes - I will accept that I have been around

We were tempted by the suite, but they do a special offer where you get a second room at half price for the kids, and it was great to have 2 bathrooms - meant we could leave dd in the shower in the evenings and still get ready ourselves.

Have you seen hodges bay
Direct Virgin flight to Antigua, going to be THE best hotel on the island. General Manager previously did the openings of SandyLane and Carlisle Bay (which is also worth looking at) and just happens to be my BIL, so I might be able to swing you a discount - though I'm not sure exactly when they open. we are seeing BIl next week hopefully so I can ask if you want?

i love dubai and go lots, but there are loads of other fab areas in Middle East which are also wonderful at that time, far better than caribbean, weather much more reliable. and yes, have been to many carib islands too. Ask away..........

great egypt hotel is the Hyatt Regency in Sharm. Brilliant, been twice, and will go back. Kids love the snorkelling and the fish, great swimming pools, lazy river and big slide. great food, lots of choice etc.

I'd thoroughly recommend Antigua for family hols. Very calm waters on most beaches. Very safe. Carlisle Bay gorgeous and very family orientated these days (Hey prufrock I might even know your BIL as lived in Antigua for a long time)
