Mental block about booking a holiday

We want to go to a specific country on holiday. DH's parents are from there. He hasn't been there since a child. He has specific wants on where to go but won't put in any of the leg work to book the trip. We get a mental block that stops us booking and just end up in an argument about it. How do you overcome this?

Sounds like you don’t really want to go.

We had similar recently and took it as a sign that never of us are very excited or keen to go where we were planning. It turned out to be the right decision as stuff ended up happening during that week that would have been a nightmare to have dealt with abroad.

May be find a new destination? Or if you’re truly keen, you start planning?
