Hello!
We're going to the hotel for 3 days soon and I'd really appreciate all tips on eating out at the resort. We have a 2 year old so want to avoid masses of walking to the restaurants where poss).

  1. Do you absolutely 'have' to book your breakfast table?
  1. Any other options you'd recommend than the Windmill restaurant?
  1. Any menu items you loved/ avoided?
  1. If all restaurants are crap and a rip off... did anyone find an alternative?

Thanks xxx

Breakfast- it gets very busy especially the earlier times so I'd definitely recommend booking

The windmill is the most kid friendly, we also enjoyed the crooked spoon, wasnt a huge fan of the secret garden one. The rollercoaster restaurant is overpriced but interesting for little ones.

We ate at The Rollercoaster which apparently is the best. It was mediocre, so I hate to think what the others are like. It’s about a 15 min walk from the hotel. The second night we ordered a takeaway to the hotel reception.

Rollercoaster is awful, food was rubbish.but everywhere else is brilliant.do book it's all very busy.in the park the pizza pasta place is brilliant( we dont book for that) and out of the park definitely flambo jambos it's brilliant.you can pop out for takeaway or get delivery from the towns I think.cebebbies land also has a nice restaurant I can't remember it's name now, explorers maybe?and sells sandwiches etc.we took a mini fridge and did some picnics.

Yes must book restaurant, definitely for breakfast, and i would for dinner too with a young child with you so it'snot something to worry about (they get busy/booked up, especially at peak dining times). If not with breakfast, there's a chance you won't get breakfast 🙁. I haven't been this year so far, but in the past have found all of the restaurants are a bit hit and miss. We've had nice meals, we've had awful meals. Windmill is the easiest going if that's a preference, but I preferred secret garden out of the hotel restaurants, i quite like the setting. Rollercoaster restaurant concept is good fun and worth a trip if it appeals to you. They are all overpriced, but that's just the deal when you're at a place like AT and they have a captive audience. So I'd say just go with it and book in to where you fancy going at the moment. On the park, the cafe/restaurant in cbeebies land has a more healthy offering for lunch than elsewhere.

One thing to be aware of, the cbeebies hotel is the furthest away from the park, so it's a bit more of a walk back to the park than the other hotels. Therefore, might consider rollercoaster restaurant for lunch or early dinner as leaving the park rather than walking back.

Hope you all have a great time!
