We holidayed in Fowey for the past two decades, fabulous place, will you have a car and are you staying in the town or nearby?

We are staying in town with a car.

Great, we loved Polkerris Beach, book to eat at Rashleigh Inn or Sam’s on the Beach, both fab … there is also a Sam’s in Fowey itself, get the ferry over to Bodinnick and do the Hall Walk to Polruan then ferry from there back to Fowey, Readymoney Cove in Fowey for coffee and sandcastles, there is a small aquarium for a rainy day or book a tour of Lanhydrock House (gardens are free to visit I think), Lost Gardens of Heligan and St Mawes are both beautiful and not too far a drive, Polperro is a very “olde worlde” quaint village down the coast, Charleston near St Austell has Tall Ships, you can go kayaking in Golant (great pub there for lunch) or take a boat trip up the estuary to Lerryn … just some of the things we like to do and kids enjoyed (now adults!)
