After a very very disatrous christmas day last year (friends didn't turn up & dh was working) I have decided I want to go somewhere with DD1 (9) and DD2 (6).

I would like to do a cottage weeked etc, but, not sure where to go, does anyone have any tips.

IF I had my way, the would experience a traditional british christmas with lots of love, cheer, food, drink etc, but, unfortunately, its always the 3 of us as DH works over christmas.

Any hints/tips would be gratefully recieved.

P.S. I live in W yorkshire so nearer the better as I don't drive.
