One day in Paris with bikes

We're staying at Camping de Paris in July so hoping to cycle into the city for one day, and spend the second at Versailles (also cycling there).
Any recommendations for cycle routes within Paris, safe spaces to lock bikes up etc? Places to explore by bike?
Bikes are not flashy and we have good D locks. We're also used to cycling on roads.

We've done this route:
Catacombs of Paris to Eiffel Tower, Paris, France - Google Maps
You start at the Catacombs and see Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe and Château de Malmaison before finishing at the Eiffel Tower. If you wanted to shorten the route you could go straight from the Arc de Triomphe to the Eiffel Tower and cut out Château de Malmaison. There are lots of bike stands throughout the city, use two bike locks on each bike.
