Holiday and impending chicken pox?

Hello. I’m in a bit of a predicament and could use some advise!
We fly abroad this Friday (30th May) and my son caught chicken pox last Wednesday (21st May).
although he will be completely scabbed over and not contagious by then, I’m concerned my daughter will get them while we’re away. I did get her the chicken pox vaccine 1 day after my son’s spots appeared!
this is our first and last abroad holiday for a quite a few years and I’m worried it’s going to be spend locked in a hotel room.
should I cancel and try get money back (we have insurance) or should I risk it and go.

If you got her the vaccine then quite likely it might skip her.
It's generally 14 days between cases but tends to be a few days in.

Your insurance won't cover you if she doesn't have chickenpox.

IME chicken pox comes out 14-21 days after exposure.

How long are you away for?

Your worst-case scenario is not that DD comes out in spots on day 1 of your holiday and has to spend the week in the room. It's that she comes out in spots on day 5 and isn't allowed on the plane home for another 4 or 5 days. You need a plan B for if that happens, and otherwise I'd be inclined to cancel.

Hi did you get the vaccine for her?

Mines vaccinated, we paid for it at Superdrug. She’s 9 now and been exposed quite a few times and hasn’t caught it.

Hi did you get the vaccine for her?

Sorry misread your message, thought you were asking where she got vaccinated. Sorry 🤦🏼‍♀️
