October half term with DH - where?

Help me decide please! So this will be our first holiday just the two of us. We’ve got just over a week and a budget of up to £4k (though is prefer to spend less).
We’d like somewhere warm, would be good to have a bit of luxury and places to explore. I’d like a decent pool - my ideal would be mornings exploring the area then afternoons by the pool.
Holidays until now have taken children into consideration but with just two of us, we’ve got more freedom over where we can go. Happy to fly long haul but is that too much for one week?
Where could you recommend?

Dubai?

I went to Sardinia in October. It was beautiful.

We did 7 nights in Singapore one October so it is doable if you want to. Fits the bill perfectly for a mix of exploring / pool relaxing.

A Mediterranean cruise would be lovely and in budget. Give it a try. It’s easy from Barcelona with the port and the airport near the city.

Marrakech.

But why go in half term if no kids - school jobs?

I didn’t know if Italy would be warm enough. Didn’t like Malta sorry - I know that’s a personal preference.

Isn’t the Caribbean hurricane season?
Singapore sounds intriguing.

if your like me and need 25 degree heat or more you need either to go canaries or Turkey or look further carribean Mexico dubai or similar.
though I highly recommend a cruise as a greet stress reliever from your job

Madeira was suggested by a friend of mine, she has been several times. It’s apparently warm in Autumn and really beautiful.

Egypt/Red Sea coast?

I’ve tracked half-term weather the last couple of years as I’ve been to the Costa del Sol then and had sun and rain. The resorts are great though as everything is open but tourists tend to be Spanish so not crowded. Both times I have been jealous of those going to Cyprus or southern Italy as the weather was much better

Madeira is absolutely gorgeous, would recommend, we went last December, loved it. It is v hilly though, the Lido area is flatter. There is so much to see and do. Have a great holiday wherever you choose.
