European villa/location recommendations

Hi, I wonder if anyone has any villa/location recommendations for going on holiday this summer, beginning of July, for 2 adults and 3 children (7, 9, 12).

Would love to find a villa with a private pool that is also a short walk away from a town with nice restaurants (not looking for fancy, just good food, local fish or nice pizza and ice cream for the kids sort of places), beaches etc.

Water sports, other things to do within a short drive would be an added bonus.

Thinking of somewhere like Greek islands, Croatia, Balearics but very much open to suggestions. Anyone have any ideas of either the sort of town we're looking for or even a particular villa that might work?

Have been trawling Air B&B and Booking.com for hours but it's so difficult to tell what the locations are like.

We stayed here with our dc of a similar age https://www.valamarcamping.com/istra-camp-porec/mobile-homes/orlandin-homes-villas The site is really well set up for kids. There’s tons to do and it’s within an easy walk of the centre of Funtana.

If you look on Solmar Villas they have filters for “walking distance to restaurants” etc. other sites may have similar filters.

From previous searches I would say there are quite a few villas around Skala, Kefalonia (NB the walks may be uphill one way as it all slopes down to the sea) or around Chania, Crete. Chania is a pretty large-ish town, Skala is a smaller beach resort town. Lots of other options though

Carvoeiro in the algarve? Lots of villas and apartments in walking distance of the village and beach
