Short holiday abroad

Is it really worth going somewhere like the algarve of Spain for three days? Have a 4yo and 1yo; we had a brilliant holiday last year for five nights. I do like the idea of short break as cheaper but is it really once you e factored in you have to buy flights regardless iyswim

would be leaving from Leeds Bradford probably unless significantly cheaper to go somewhere else

anyone gone for three nights and loved it?

I wouldn’t. I went to Mallorca on a 4 day organised swimming holiday and it felt like too much travelling time.

Would a couple more nights stay be much more? You've already paid for the flights and could buy supermarket food like you would at home. This is cheaper somewhere like Portugal generally anyway.

Far too much hassle for me with 2 small children.

I’ve done 3 night city breaks to Palma and to Alicante and thought they were well worth it - we had an early morning flight on our way out and lunchtime on our way home. I would only do it if the journey to the airport was close at either end, so, for example if you were going to Spain, then somewhere like Torremolinos/ Benalmadena would be a short taxi ride from Malaga airport so I would do that. It’s been a long time since I travelled with small children though. I would also think you would want your flight time to be 3 hours or less (I don’t know flight times from Leeds-Bradford).
