Hello wonderful mums

Please could you advise the best places for holidaying us to visit in UK for my first baby and what age is good?

Keep your expectations low! I took mine to an AirBNB near the sea (Lymington) at 6 months. It worked as it was very low key, pottering on the doorstep, garden to sit in and separate rooms for sleeping at night. Do not fall into the trap of going to a hotel and finding yourself sitting in the dark in the shared room after the baby has gone to sleep.... Also - unless you want to travel with approx 4 tons of luggage, pick somewhere that has baby equipment - cot/highchair etc. MUCH easier than dragging it all around with you.

Go where you want to go. At that age they are still portable and happy to be in a pram/being carried and don't have lots of toys and aren't mobile.

I second the appartment/cottage plan. You have more space, often a washing machine, you can eat in or go somewhere for food and often places have at least cots/highchairs.

We stayed at the Devon/Cornwall border. Plenty of low impact walks where DD was in a carrier, pretty towns to walk around and we were lucky to have good weather so could sit in the garden or went to the beach.

I live in London and never had issues not finding things to do with DD at that age either, she went to all the major museums, galleries and parks before she was 1.
