Holiday for single parent with 1 year old

Can anybody recommend any holidays/hotels that are perfect for myself and 1 year old son? Looking to go in Sept/Oct.

I know a holiday at this age is just parenting in the sun so perhaps a nice hotel with small pools, soft play, toddler friendly set up.

Open to any country that's about a 2/3 hours flight away x

When dc1 was under 2 (free child and I payed single suplement) we had a lovely holiday in santa susanna (Costa brava) was on beach front which is very pushchair friendly, had a few day trips on the train, even went to Barcelona. Also did santa eulalia (ibiza) and majorca palma nova. Both had good transport links to get around the islands too. All reasonably short flights. Dc is an adult now but I remember them as easy holidays.

For the easiest flights I'd probs restrict the search to Spain and Portugal in September, maybe early Oct. Leave it any later and the weather is riskier there. Would also go for shorter transfers, if you don't have very niche requirements then there's no real need to be more than an hour from an airport.

Try Roda in Corfu. Very family friendly and lovely sandy beach which is very shallow till quite far out. Lots of lovely restaurants in the beach and a few soft plays for wee kids in the resort. Everyone loves kids and he will be well taken care of! There are so many places where you could pop him in the buggy and enjoy a meal/drink at night while he sleeps. If he wakes there will be plenty of Yiayia’s (grannies) to step in to help!!
I took DS to Menorca at 8 weeks old and then both dc to a Eurocamp when’s was 3 months and he was 18 months. It was great at so much outdoor space for them to play in.

I am currently at

AKRA SORGUN TUI BLUE SENSATORI
TURKEY

With my 1.5 yrs active little one
this is hands down the best hotel I’ve been to not only for adults but for kids under 3.

it is not cheap but it’s really great. They even do stay and play sessions so you can go to baby club with the little one and leave them or you can stay if you aren’t comfortable leaving etc.

all uk DBS trained nursery staff.
they do baby classes and baby splash play.

cant sing the praises high enough for this hotel. You can only book it through Tui. Good luck :)

I’d agree Spain/portugal but do September you are heading in to rain/breeze by October. Think about flight times and transfer distance. We have enjoyed torremelinos and benelmedina in Spain and Vilamoura in Portugal in recent years. I’d suggest all inclusive or full/half board for ease , with a young child it’s easier to eat breakfast and evening meal on site. I’d try to get a hotel will a balcony so on an evening you can sit and out and relax once lo is asleep. Check reviews on trip adviser before booking.
