Day trip to Eastbourne

Looking to do a day trip over the easter weekend, any recommendations for nice restaurants or pubs please?

Done Brighton loads so looking for an alternative...is Eastbourne worth a visit?

If you like Italian, Picasso’s on Mark Lane is really excellent.
I was initially a bit hesitant because the street itself looks a bit shabby, but everyone who came out while I was deciding whether or not to go in, said how good it was, so I gave it a go. They were not wrong, it was fab!
